The Head of Manufacturing at Thales is a crucial member of the Industry team, responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations on the shopfloor. This includes ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, managing the shopfloor workforce, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure production schedules are met.
• Monitor production activities, making adjustments as necessary to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Implement and maintain quality control standards and procedures to ensure products meet quality specifications.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
Requirements
• APICS certification is an advantage.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification, engineering field is an advantage.
• Experience (5 years) in production management & Lean projects implementation within preferably electronics, automotive, mechanical environments is mandatory.
Skills
• Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team, strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership capabilities and capability to federate teams and drive consensus in a transversal dynamic and performing in international environment.
• Good ERP knowledge (MRP/MPS/Forecast management) is important for the role.
• Fluency in English written and spoken and IT savvy are also mandatory for the role.
