About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our Italy Purchasing Team at Sews-Cabind S.P.A.

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure optimal agreements with mitigated risk.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate terms and conditions, contracts, and resolve problems with the timeliness and quality of supplies and services.
  • Identify, research, and evaluate new possible suppliers that meet our standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
  • Support the assessment of supplier's products and services to ensure compliance with specifications, laws, and regulations, and meet our quality and HSE standards.
  • Enter orders for managerial approval and release, and collect purchasing-related data for operational reporting and analysis.
  • Visit and audit suppliers to find saving and service/product improvement opportunities.
  • Apply our company values of Professionalism, teamwork, and challenge, and promote synergies at Group level.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities necessary to purchase Direct Materials that meet our standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
  • Simplify and optimize procurement processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Communicate with vendors to negotiate terms and conditions, contracts, and resolve problems with the timeliness and quality of supplies and services.
  • Support the analysis and negotiation of supplier bids, tenders, proposals, or quotations with terms that are in our best interest.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years' experience as Direct Purchaser in a similar position.
  • Previous work-experience in an automotive company is a plus.
  • Ability to write and communicate verbally in a professional/business manner in Italian and English.
  • Strong fact-based negotiation skills, hard-working attitude, and ability to work within an international and inter-functional team.
