About the Role

Dana Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled System Validation Engineer to join our team in the Light Vehicle Electrification Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the integration strategy and planning of electrification eAxle components and auxiliary components such as ePump, park-lock, shifting, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Integration Strategy and Planning: Support the integration strategy and planning of electrification eAxle components and auxiliary components, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  2. System and Software Validation: Validate the system and software of electrified eAxle, focusing on functional requirements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  3. Test Environment Setup: Collaborate with the system/software V&V manager/lead to create test environments necessary for integration and qualification testing of the system/software V&V.
  4. Test Case Development and Execution: Analyze requirements, create test specifications, and execute tests via HIL/SIL/MIL as needed, ensuring thorough validation of the system and software.
  5. Process Improvement: Support process improvements of xEV LV BU for system V&V, incorporating Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and ASPICE as required.
Requirements
  1. 3+ years' experience in software validation.
  2. 2+ years' experience with HIL environments such as dSpace.
  3. 2+ Experience with HIL testing methodologies, Python scripting, and tools (i.e. AutomationDesk, ControlDesk).
  4. 2+ years' experience with products following ASPICE, ISO26262 methods.
  5. 1+ year experience or proven knowledge of electric machines, power electronics, and understanding of EV powertrain control strategies is a plus.
  6. Working knowledge of model-based software (i.e. Matlab / Simulink / Simulink Test / Simscape).
  7. Understanding of Configuration Management tools (JIRA, Teams, SharePoint).
  8. Experience with Requirements Management using tools (Polarion, DOORS).
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  10. Excellent problem-solving skills and a high degree of intellectual horsepower.
