About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Planning to join our team in Italy. As a key member of our Operations department, you will be responsible for leading the Production Planning & (Material Planning) Purchasing team to deliver exceptional results and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Production Planning & (Material Planning) Purchasing team to ensure effective planning and purchasing processes.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to drive operational excellence and improve key performance indicators.
  3. Provide clear leadership and vision to inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  5. Maintain effective and flexible processes to respond to short lead customer orders and major projects.
  6. Ensure compliance with legal and Company health, safety, environmental and other standards and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in people management skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven knowledge of system-driven Planning tools and MRP.
  • At least 5 years successful management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Able to communicate to a high level and motivate staff to achieve excellence.
