As a Restaurant Supervisor at Meliá Hotels International, you will be responsible for leading the restaurant department and ensuring the smooth operation of our dining facilities. Your key responsibilities will include:
Operations
- Lead the daily and monthly inventory procedures for crockery, glassware, cutlery, centrepieces, and decorations.
- Ensure the EISI reporting procedure is followed and monitor the general report of the department.
- Control and ensure the procedure of preventive maintenance, deep cleaning, and machines within the bar department.
- Facilitate menu updates, liquor menus, wine lists, and promotions for the department.
- Supervise performance tests on machines, dosing machines, concentrates, and other equipment.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
Economic-Financial
- Be knowledgeable of the department's budget and economic performance.
- Monitor the department's economic goals and their fulfillment.
Human Resources
- Support and participate in the development plans of core staff and trainees.
- Be knowledgeable of the development plans and tools in Human Resources and promote their use.
- Identify high-potential staff and actively participate in the development of the team and trainees.
- Support the implementation of action plans that impact the commitment and climate of the team.
- Encourage team participation in wellness programs available at the hotel.
Customer Experience
- Be knowledgeable of the Brand philosophy and implement the standards, operational, and identity manuals.
- Ensure the customer's experience and personalize their stay, anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations.
- Deal with customer incidents and communicate the actions taken to the person in charge.
- Participate in the achievement of the objectives of the Voice of the Customer and ensure compliance with the Sensory Architecture.
Health & Safety/Healthy Workplace
- Be knowledgeable of the hotel's evacuation plan.
- Support in the responsibilities assigned to them in the Centre's Self-Protection Manual.
- Be knowledgeable of the methods, work procedures, and risks inherent to their activity.
- Assume the responsibilities assigned in the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Manual.
Requirements
- Higher degree and/or university degree, preferably in Tourism or Hospitality.
- Local language and advanced English. A third language will be highly valuable.
- Knowledge of the latest waiting trends, REVO, and POS management.
- Ability to work in a team, service orientation, quality, and professionalism.
Experience
- At least 1 year's experience in a similar position in the sector.
