About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Geospatial Data Specialist to join our team at Planetek Italia. As a key member of our geoservices team, you will be responsible for developing innovative applications and services to support geospatial/remote sensing projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level technical capabilities to document and manage project tasks, identify and manage/mitigate project risks, and ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Establish project/task/deliverable reviews and oversight to ensure technical quality, product delivery, and impactful work.
  • Prepare technical proposals for tenders and deliver reports on time.
  • Interact with various stakeholders and partners to ensure project activities.

Your Background

  • Consistent understanding of GIS and EO concepts, such as projections, data management, formats, and metadata.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of GIS and EO techniques for processing and analyzing geospatial datasets, particularly satellite-derived imagery.
  • Experience with EO/GIS software applications, such as ERDAS Imagine, QGIS, and ArcGIS.
  • Scripting programs and spatial libraries, particularly Python and R.
  • Effective communication and coordination with various stakeholders and partners.
  • Preparation of publications, technical reports, and technical offers for participation in tenders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to applied techniques and processes.
  • Mastery of Italian and English languages.
