Job Title: Supply Chain Planner

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly motivated and organized Supply Chain Planner to join our team in Turin, Italy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accurate estimation of external costs for high-complexity bids
  • Plan and forecast external costs, including materials, services, packages, and subcontractors, during project execution
  • Submit project supply chain inputs to define and issue the Integrated Project Plan
  • Issue and distribute planning and logistics relevant documents to project teams
  • Coordinate material delivery, including spare parts and repairing of failed material, in accordance with project plans
  • Launch production based on project requirements, ensuring alignment with project schedules
  • Issue purchase requests for materials, external services, packages, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery
  • Monitor and report on supplier performances, including logistics providers, in terms of production, FAT, lead time, shipment, and project warehouse management
  • Identify and implement project mitigation actions due to potential misalignments of supplier performances
  • Create SES and Work Progress Certificate, authorizing subcontractors to issue invoices
Requirements:
  • Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, project management, supplier management, procurement planning, vendor rating, and reporting
  • Strong technical knowledge, risk management, and continuous improvement skills
  • Excellent documentation management and MPS-MRP techniques
  • Cost controlling and budgeting concepts
  • Logistic and warehouse management
