Alstom is seeking a Mechanical Lead Engineer to coordinate the Mechanical Experts team in supporting the Service Engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the team's activities, including mechanical/thermal modelization, mechanical installation/modification concept design, and application of F&S and Ecodesign rules.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the Mechanical Experts team to support the Service Engineering department
  • Leading mechanical/thermal modelization for dimensioning/validation of products
  • Designing mechanical installations/modifications at both component and train level
  • Applying F&S and Ecodesign rules to comply with railways normative
  • Updating/integrating technical documentation for spare components of old projects
  • Supporting suppliers for spare components manufacturing

The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical construction, Finite Element Analysis, and Thermal Analysis, as well as knowledge of materials, surficial and heat treatment, corrosion topics, and rules to avoid it. Familiarity with railway field and railways normative awareness is also desirable.
