Join Our Team as a Senior Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Service Engineer to enhance our operations in the central region of Italy. This role requires a dedicated professional who is results-driven and possesses a strong work ethic. You will be instrumental in driving customer satisfaction and ensuring the optimal performance of Sysmex products and solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the operational efficiency of the installed equipment within your designated area.
  • Develop and nurture professional relationships with end-users and laboratory stakeholders.
  • Conduct troubleshooting both on-site and remotely to resolve issues promptly.
  • Implement both reactive and proactive service measures at customer locations and through remote support.

In this role, you will also:

  • Serve as an expert and provide second-level support for your assigned business line.
  • Facilitate the professional development of field colleagues through on-the-job training.
  • Act as the primary contact for third-level support from the EMEA support team.
  • Conduct pre-installation visits and planning meetings with clients.
  • Oversee pre-installation processes at Sysmex workshops and installations at client sites.
  • Deliver basic technical and maintenance training to end-users.
  • Execute repair and maintenance tasks in accordance with Sysmex protocols.
  • Plan and conduct regular visits to key customers to ensure service excellence.
  • Document field activities and the status of instruments accurately.
  • Keep laboratory directors informed about service deliverables and instrument conditions.
  • Organize regular meetings with key end-users to emphasize the value of our services.
  • Ensure all customer-related records are meticulously maintained.
  • Accurately log service activities in the Sysmex CRM system.
  • Guarantee customer satisfaction throughout all post-sales interactions.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on new tenders and business opportunities to create tailored solutions for specific customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree or equivalent in engineering.
  • An advanced certificate in electronics or relevant industry experience.
  • Technical expertise in electronic equipment, preferably in the IVD sector.
  • Proficient in PC tools and software applications.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.

Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer in the medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills with end-users.
  • Experience with hematology, urinalysis, and hemostasis instruments is advantageous.
