Xylem, a leading global water technology company, is seeking a skilled Technical Strategic Buyer to join our team in Montecchio Maggiore, Italy.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our procurement activities in the EMEA region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cost-effective design of new products and related supply chains, while fulfilling all applicable technical specifications and full compliance with Xylem commodity strategies, policies, and other commodity guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Secure planning and execution of procurement activities in accordance with project specifications and the product development process.
  • Ensure new products and related supply chains have a cost-effective design while fulfilling all applicable technical specifications and full compliance with Xylem commodity strategies, policies, and other commodity guidance.
  • Develop and improve the function for new products and value engineering.
  • Proactive communicate with commodity managers and site procurement organizations to secure the supplier base are able to support company needs for product development and serial production.
  • Represent Xylem to external suppliers and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in Technical, Business Management, or Economics.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing company in a similar role.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Experience in negotiation, contracts, cost management, and supplier management.
