Job Description:

Trigyn Technologies is seeking a skilled Database Systems Administrator to manage our global OpenStreetMap (OSM) database replica based on PostgreSQL. This role involves designing, implementing, and enhancing the database as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage global OSM database replica based on PostgreSQL, including design, implementation, and enhancements as necessary.

• Monitor daily updates of the in-house replica through regular diffs.

• Optimize and improve the performance of databases and queries.

• Manage PostgreSQL objects, including roles, permissions, tables, partitioned tables, views, materialized views, schemas, functions, procedures, triggers, backup, restore, data replication, and synchronization mechanisms.

• Troubleshoot issues with databases and geospatial data.

Requirements:

• Expertise in PostgreSQL and PostGIS database administration.

• Proficiency in Linux, Linux Shell Scripting, and Python.

• Familiarity with OSM data model and geospatial data.

• Proficiency in at least one GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS Desktop).

• Basic knowledge of Docker containers, LUA, and R.
