Psychology Technician

The Department of Justice is seeking a highly skilled Pyschology Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality mental health services to our clients.

• Administer, score, and distribute psychological tests, including the MMPI and Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory.
• Implement and maintain the BOP's automated psychology data entry system, including initial implementation, training, and routine data entry and retrieval.
• Provide administrative support to the Chief Psychologist, including typing, duplicating, and distributing letters, memos, forms, and reports.
• Maintain tracking logs for various programs, including monthly contracts, psychotropic compliance, and suicide watch monitoring.
• Perform notarial services for staff and inmates, and maintain records and filing systems.

• Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, with major study or at least 24 hours in psychology, statistics, or other directly related subjects.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level, including experience in typing, duplicating, and distributing letters, memos, forms, and reports, and experience in compiling, managing, and ensuring the security of all psychology files.
