About the Role

As a Product Care Sales Representative at Illumina, you will be part of a fast-paced team responsible for the sales of service contract products. You will work directly with customers to ensure we offer the right solution for their needs. This is a hybrid role, partly based in Milan, Italy, and requires fluent language skills in both English and Italian, with additional Spanish language skills highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the customer sales process for Italy and Spain-based accounts, using our CRM database to contact existing customers via phone and email.
• Meet sales targets and be responsible for accurate forecasting and maintaining lead, customer details, and up-to-date opportunity information in the CRM database.
• Engage with existing customers and qualified sales leads, guiding customers to the Illumina service products that best meet their needs, coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions or objections, providing budgetary pricing, creating and submitting individualized quotes, and closing the sales process through the point of order receipt.
• Work collaboratively with the wider sales team in Italy and Spain, establishing and maintaining strong, positive, productive relationships with customer accounts, including product end-users, management, and purchasing contacts.
• Track and report on all activities to managers. Potential to do occasional field visits as required to help advance opportunities.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Italian is essential, and fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
• Proven successful sales experience with a technical product line is a plus, but other sales experience would be considered.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, goal-oriented with a focus on achieving team sales performance metrics, and detail-oriented with the ability to focus in a fast-paced environment.
• A BSc within a relevant scientific subject is preferred.
