About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Wellhub (formerly Gympass). As a key member of our BASE Focus Area, Tagus Partner Team, you will play a critical role in building the heart of our business model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using cloud-based architectures (AWS/GCP).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with 3rd party APIs and tools.
  • Participate in the development of critical services, focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Work on complex modern web applications, applying computer science fundamentals and best practices.
  • Develop RESTful web services, collaborating with front-end teams to create mocks, define payloads, and follow HTTP best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring multiple multidisciplinary teams of software engineers.
  • Experience in architecting large-scale multi-tier web applications.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages (Kotlin/Java/Ruby/Go/C++/etc.). Golang is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas and solutions in English.
