Job Title: B&M Consultant Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled B&M Consultant Engineer to join our team at FM Global. As a B&M Consultant Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping our clients maintain continuity in their business operations by identifying and mitigating physical and human element exposures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site loss prevention evaluations to identify reasonably foreseeable physical and human element exposures.
  • Quantify exposures at client locations to ensure the Account Team places an appropriate level of attention on the exposure and its impact on the business.
  • Develop and implement practical, effective on-site risk improvement programs, including human element/maintenance programs and low/moderate cost physical improvements.
  • Collaborate with Account Engineering to educate clients on loss prevention and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide timely, high-quality plan review services for medium complexity changes to ensure proper loss prevention considerations are achieved at the design stage.

Requirements:

  • 5-year degree in chemical or electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in production, maintenance, or process hazards consulting in high-challenge industries.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving skills and a solution provider mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in Italian and English (written and oral). French and Spanish are a plus.
