Job Description

Role Purpose:

Vodafone is seeking a highly skilled Core Network Delivery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Voice Core domain, you will be responsible for integrating Voice Core technologies and functions into our network, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network architecture for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G core network functions, including customer data repositories, signalling network functions, and IP multimedia systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of functionality and quality in projects, taking ownership of key decisions where Voice Core is the lead domain.
  • Perform local integration tests for new software and network elements, ensuring end-to-end integration and interconnect with other mobile and fixed operators.
  • Manage the lifecycle of systems under the Voice Core domain, including acceptance of hardware and software, integration testing, and collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified with at least 2 years of professional experience in telecommunications.
  • Expertise in engineering core mobile networks for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of communication principles and protocols operating at all layers of the protocol stack linked to 3GPP standards.
  • Solid understanding of virtualization (VMWare) and containerization (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with transport and networking technologies, including routing and switching protocols, load balancers, firewalls, and IPv4/6.
  • Scripting expertise in Power CLI, PowerShell, Python, or other relevant languages.
