Aircraft Mechanic I Job Description

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology, Inc. is a leading system engineering and information technology firm seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic I to join our team.

We are a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) with a strong presence in Maryland and Virginia, supporting mission-critical IT business needs for clients within the intelligence community, Department of Defense, and Veteran Administration.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions, including inspections and repairs.
  • Operate aircraft towing equipment and maintain fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and modifications of aircraft systems and subsystems.
  • Overhaul aircraft components and sub-components, and service ground support equipment.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and required forms accurately.
Requirements:
  • Must be skill-qualified and possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (AP) certification.
  • Must be proficient in repairing fuel tanks and fuel leaks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
  • U.S. Citizen and must pass a background check and be able to obtain and maintain a Common access card.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
  • Must have valid U.S. Passport.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds independently.
  • Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
  • Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead.
  • Position requires sitting and/or standing at workbenches and wire boards 99% of the day.
