About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a key member of our Purchasing area, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in bidding processes, providing accurate raw material costs during the tender phase.
  • Attend tender kick-off meetings and coordinate with relevant functions to understand project details and potential implications on raw material sourcing.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Procurement to stay informed about market trends and expected prices for relevant materials.
  • Define accurate costs for each raw material in specific tenders.
  • Identify and monitor upcoming volumes for main raw materials, addressing urgent constraints and ensuring material availability, competitiveness, and proactive planning.
  • Lead projects on materials and suppliers, preparing the business unit for future opportunities.

Requirements

  • Business or Engineering background.
  • Previous experience of at least 5 years.
  • Solid professional experience as a Buyer/Commodity Manager in a structured international organization.
  • Knowledge of technical fundamentals related to materials (mechanical, chemical, electrical).
  • Experience in leading projects, coordinating different functions (e.g., Quality, R&D, plants).
  • Familiarity with complex organizational contexts and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, curious, results-driven, and committed to managing complexity and challenges.
  • Excellent team building abilities.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel (max 20%).

Nice to Have

  • Past experience as a Buyer/Commodity Manager in the energy sector.
