In the context of increasing the Smart Engineering team, NTT DATA is seeking a Test Engineer for the Automotive sector in our Turin office.

The selected candidate will join our team and be responsible for activities related to the verification and validation of the vehicle connectivity system (Telematic Control Unit and Head Unit), with the following tasks:


• Analyzing high-level functional requirements and system requirements for vehicle connectivity, including vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and infrastructure-to-vehicle (V2I) communication.


• Writing and reviewing test cases.


• Designing, implementing, and configuring test benches (HIL) and vehicle instrumentation for manual and/or automatic validation activities.


• Executing test loops (manual and/or automatic).


• Acquiring and analyzing logs.


• Identifying hardware/software malfunctions and performing preliminary analysis.


• Reporting and managing hardware/software malfunctions to suppliers.


• Writing and reviewing test reports.


• Interacting and interfacing with clients and suppliers to resolve hardware/software malfunctions.

Required skills:


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar fields.


• Knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic architecture.


• At least 1 year of experience in validation activities related to vehicle connectivity features:

o Telematic Control Unit (e.g., emergency calls, roadside assistance, remote vehicle monitoring, Wi-Fi hotspot, GNSS, OTA software updates, etc.)

o Infotainment (e.g., media, audio, VR, Bluetooth, vehicle functions, HMI tuner, Android Auto, Car Play, navigation, etc.).


• Experience with problem management tools (e.g., Polarion, Jira, etc.).


• Experience with electronic instrumentation (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, etc.).


• Knowledge of major automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.


• Experience with Vector tools (e.g., CANalyzer and CANoe).


• Experience in writing CAPL scripts.


• Knowledge of the UDS protocol.


• Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., SSH, Telnet, etc.).


• Experience in writing Bash scripts.


• Fluent English, both spoken and written.


• Availability for potential business trips.
