Cloud Solution Architect Position

About the Position: We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solution Architect to join our Italian team at ABB Schweiz AG. The successful candidate will design, validate, and supervise the solution architecture of cloud-native applications, focusing on Microsoft Azure PaaS environments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-native applications using native Azure services, such as Cosmos DB, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Functions.
- Master cloud back-end and front-end design and development patterns to leverage native cloud computing techniques, with a focus on MS Azure specifics.
- Contribute to application code review, providing developers with targeted indications to maintain code quality.
- Develop and implement microservices-oriented and classic modular architectures in complex ecosystems, prioritizing performance, reliability, and observability.
- Configure Microsoft and third-party applications within the modern workplace environment, ensuring seamless interoperability and user experience across devices and platforms.
- Design robust application identity and access management solutions in compliance with ABB IAM policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure engineers to design and implement connectivity and networking landscape, cloud resource management, and configuration and optimization of all cloud services used to build and run applications.
- Contribute to Application release management and deployment automation, in close collaboration with DevOps engineers.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in application development, solution design, and application implementation in cloud platforms, productivity platforms, containerized services, and microservices-based solutions, with a focus on Microsoft technologies and Azure ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of native Azure cloud services, identity and access management solutions, and cloud back-end and front-end design and development patterns.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for innovation and digital transformation, with a desire to stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and best practices in cloud computing.
