Job Title: Electrical Inspector

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Inspector to join our team. As an Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical and instrumentation equipment is installed and functioning in accordance with project specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and witness tests on electrical and instrumentation equipment fabrication and installation to ensure conformance with project specifications.
  • Monitor day-to-day quality control activities and maintain effective coordination with the construction team to perform necessary quality control activities.
  • Participate in quality control or quality assurance programs, report or issue QAI and non-conformances, and assist the QC Manager to monitor and close out NCRs.
  • Check the correctness and practicality of drawings by reviewing drawings and project specifications.
  • Ensure sub-contractors are using the latest revised drawings and documents by performing weekly checks on their documents against the drawing/document register.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and instruments delivered to the site comply with project specifications by conducting inspections on received items and reviewing their accompanying documents.
  • Standardize site installation of typical equipment and instruments by preparing a mock-up for every installation as a reference.
  • Guide and monitor sub-contractor activities closely to minimize errors.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and surveillance to capture deficiencies in fabricated components, installed items, or systems.
  • Record project completion progress and quality measurements by inspecting and completing ITRs (Inspection and Test Records).
  • Ensure jobs are carried out safely by giving daily morning tool box briefings to all personnel involved in the project.
  • Ensure that all changes made at site are captured accordingly by reviewing project's final documentation.

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or any other relevant discipline

Minimum 5 years of relevant QAQC working experience in oil and gas

Required Compex/ATEX/ICEX certificate

Familiar with ATEX standards and Hazardous Area classifications

Computer literate and familiar in using basic Microsoft office programs

Typology of activation: ON CALL
