Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and insurance carriers to ensure seamless authorization processes.
- Review and analyze patient information to ensure accurate coding and authorization.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to resolve authorization issues.
- Stay up-to-date with changing medical coding and insurance regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and resolve authorization-related issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or medical coding.
- Three years of experience in patient financial services or a related field.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and insurance regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with ambulatory patient care administrative functions.
