About the Role

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly skilled and motivated System RAMS Engineer to join our team in Naples, Italy. As a key member of our RAM department, you will be responsible for leading the execution of the RAM Programme for railway systems, subsystems, and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with prime contractors and subcontractors/vendors to ensure RAM requirements are met
  • Produce RAM analysis and verification reports
  • Verify and sign off design, installation, and commissioning of RAM-related requirements
  • Support the Engineering/Product Development team in finalizing design to ensure maximum reliability and availability
  • Perform RAM governance activities and coordinate with subsystem RAM referents
  • Contribute to the delivery of systems/subsystems/products in compliance with project/programme schedule and budget

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in RAMS
  • Knowledge of international standards applicable to the railway domain (e.g. EN 50126)
  • Background in reliability engineering for products/systems in industry (railway, aerospace, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of Isograph Reliability Workbench Tool or equivalent

Education/Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent technical background

Languages

  • English (spoken and written) proficiency
  • French or Spanish (spoken and written) knowledge is a plus
