Junior Front-end Developer Job Description

We are seeking a talented Junior Front-end Developer to join our engineering team at Jeenka. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building the 'client-side' of our websites and web applications.

Your primary objective will be to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications. You will work closely with our web designers to match visual design intent and ensure a seamless user experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop well-structured, testable, and efficient front-end code using best software development practices.
  • Create visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts and user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices.
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases to create a seamless user experience.
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our websites to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to our operations and activities.

Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in CSS and HTML, including layouts and cross-browser compatibility, as well as CSS preprocessors (SCSS).
  • Basic expertise in JavaScript programming, including concepts like asynchronous programming, ES6, and closures.
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress and theme development.
  • Basic experience with bundlers (Gulp/Webpack).
  • Basic knowledge of PHP Frameworks (Laravel) is a plus.
  • Understanding of web application security, session management, and best development practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a plus.
  • Good problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
  • German is a plus.
