About the Role

Randstad Italia Inhouse Services is seeking a skilled Satellite Mechanical and Thermal Engineer to join an aerospace client based in Rome.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct satellite system engineering activities related to structural and thermal design, ensuring compliance with design and verification requirements.
  2. Specify design and test requirements for equipment hosted in satellite, considering thermal and mechanical aspects.
  3. Perform structural and mechanical analyses using finite element methods, including static and dynamic cases, through NASTRAN software.
  4. Conduct thermal analyses using finite element methods, including steady state and transient cases, through ESA software.
  5. Manage and reduce complex finite element models for Coupled Load Analysis with launcher.
  6. Participate in thermal balancing tests, structure testing, and vibration testing of satellite to correlate digital models with test results.

Requirements

  1. Master's Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Proficiency in software for numerical simulation and FEM analysis (MSC Nastran, MSC Patran) and programming languages (Matlab, Python).
  3. Theoretical and practical knowledge of instrumentation for dynamic analysis of structures: accelerometers, modal hammers, electrodynamic shakers, load cells.
