Job Summary

The Financial Operations Specialist will support the Manager in implementing controlling and analysis activities to manage economic and financial indexes for Galileo Global Education. The role involves developing a monthly financial closing, identifying variances related to budget/forecast, and defining a monthly forecast for economics and cash flow.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Controlling Italian accounting department and improving profitability of the Italian Schools
  • Verifying active and passive flow; analysing variance in relation to the budget/forecast and cash forecast to predict the flow of main income and cost items
  • SUPPORTING SCHOOL DIRECTORS IN DEVELOPING MAIN SCHOOL PROJECTS; COMPILING AND MANAGING ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL MONTHLY/ANNUALLY REPORTING DOCUMENTS
  • MANAGING ACCOUNTABILITY DURING DEFINING ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENT; SUPERVISING BUDGETING/FORECASTING ACTIVITIES OF THE COUNTRY
  • SUPPORTING AND MAINTAINING ACCOUNTING SYSTEM; IDENTIFYING AND DEVELOPING CORRECTIVE ACTIONS TO IMPROVE FINANCE PROCESSES

Requirements:

  • 2/3-year experience in a similar role
  • Economy degree
  • Good knowledge of SAP B1 and Office Suite, Excel in particular
  • Good knowledge of English language
  • Remarkable quality of precision and problem-solving
  • Proactivity, strong analytical skills, and team-work attitude
