Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our Analytics Platform & Solutions Squad team as Analytics Tech-Product Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and evolution of our Vodafone Analytics portfolio, defining functional requirements, and shaping new products and vertical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development and Management: Accountable for proof-of-concept product testing, product portfolio development, deployment, and lifecycle management. This includes project management responsibilities with a focus on prioritization and time management, product performance management, innovation, and rationalization.
  • Market Requirements and Business Cases: Create and own market requirements specifications and business cases for the product(s). Responsible for taking services through the Group and Italian Gating process.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work in close relationship with key stakeholders in Vodafone Italy (Big Data, Privacy & Legal, other Product Marketing squads, IT Technology and Network), Vodafone Group, and external parties including suppliers and Business Partners.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Delve into data from different systems, structured and unstructured, both batch and real-time, to discover hidden relationships and useful information. Translate complex datasets into key strategy insights and powerful capabilities to the business.
  • Analytics Trends and Opportunities: Identify new analytics trends and opportunities to drive the evolution of the Vodafone Analytics Platform. This includes identifying new data sources and evaluating emerging technologies for data discovery usage.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining Machine Learning/AI models and Optimization Algorithms. Previous experience in performing analytics on cloud platforms is required.
  • Cloud and Big Data Analytics: Technical expertise in cloud environments, Big Data Analytics landscape and architectures, ETL processes, and statistics. Experience and knowledge of Spark, Python, GIS, and Tableau is required.
  • Process Design and Project Management: Knowledge of process design and re-design methodologies, approaches, and tools. Past project management experiences with autonomy in delivering the project and proven ability to guide dev team members in improving their skill sets, motivate them, and build the Vodafone Analytics' Platform foundation for future growth.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical results to non-technical audiences.
Education and Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: Master's Degree in quantitative fields like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and Engineering.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English, both written and spoken; Spanish is a plus.
