Position Overview

As a Customer Engineering Director, you will represent Garrett in front of the customer on all key pre-development activities, business wins, flawless launch, value engineering, and field activities. You will build and develop deep customer relationships, supporting Garrett's business wins and serving as the primary point of contact for customer senior engineering executives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop a customer technology roadmap and lead all pre-development activities, ensuring alignment with mid to long-term customer team strategic plans.
  2. Secure business wins through technical offers, flawless launches, and advanced product quality planning.
  3. Resolve customer escalations, lead launch resolution issues, and field issue resolutions.
  4. Manage functionally lead engineer project teams, assigned by the project to respective customers and resident offices.
  5. Responsible for bids, value engineering, and homologation launch readiness review activities.
  6. Ensure the latest tools and processes are deployed within project teams.
  7. Bring new ideas and drive change in how to work differently and more efficiently.
  8. Responsible for hiring processes, onboarding, and unified career path development for engineers and designers.

Requirements

  • Engineering university degree, with a master's or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of customer relations and strong technical expertise in main areas impacting successful launches.
  • Demonstrated skills in product development, component design, manufacturing, team management, communication, and business acumen.
