As a Senior Legal Counsel at Evotec, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's global business development and operations functions on all day-to-day legal commercial matters. This will involve drafting, negotiating, and approving various commercial agreements, including confidentiality agreements, terms and conditions, master service agreements, and other contracts. You will also represent the company in negotiations with customers and third parties, ensuring that Evotec's interests are protected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate agreements related to research and development activities at Evotec, as assigned.
  • Prepare and review contract specimens, standard templates, and approve contracts and legal agreements in the internal pre-signature approval process.
  • Provide solutions to daily enquiries of internal stakeholders and serve as a point of contact for contract questions within Evotec.
  • Participate in special projects, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law or Economics and a minimum of 5 years of experience drafting, negotiating, and executing contracts in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all contractual documents.
  • Self-starter who is resourceful and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to handle complexity of work under pressure and meet deadlines while remaining highly organized, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks.
  • Team player with a proactive and organized approach.
  • Outstanding organizational, written, and verbal communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Strong networking ability and ability to be decisive in decision-making when facing ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in adjusting to a rapidly changing workload and providing support to colleagues during times of increased workload.
  • Ability to lead change in processes and responsibilities as a result of process improvement initiatives and manage any conflict that arises from this change.
