As a Senior Machinery Safety Specialist at Amazon, you will play a key role in driving improvements in safety and efficiency across our operations. You will work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards and foster a culture of safety and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies.
  • Drive programmes to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders across the company to achieve safety-related goals.
About the Team

Our Workplace Health and Safety team plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. We work with managers, associates, and local governments across our sites to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations.

Requirements
  • Education to a degree level and ASPP or RSPP certified.
  • Professional training in a technical profession, preferably mechatronics or electrics.
  • Relevant experience managing projects and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
