Assembly Technician

This role involves assembling various parts into semi-finished or finished items, demonstrating knowledge of torque wrenches, pressure and flow gauges, lapping machine, wash tanks, tumblers, grinding, black oxide, pneumatic impact tools, calipers, scales, tape measures, and electric and air operated hand tools.

• Assemble various parts into semi-finished or finished items
• Disassemble or assemble and test injectors and pumps
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized equipment
• Read schematics, blueprints, perform basic math
• Follow verbal or written work instructions, standards and/or QWI's consistently, accurately, and safely

This position requires strong physical abilities, including lifting up to 35lbs, pushing and pulling up to 50lbs, and working at varied heights from floor level to tops of locomotives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to follow written and verbal instructions, and hear audible alarms.

This is a safety-sensitive position that works in and around active tracks, rail cars, locomotives, and other moving equipment.
