Sustainability Coordinator

Splendido Hotel is a luxury establishment seeking a passionate Sustainability Coordinator to develop and implement sustainable practices and initiatives throughout our hotel operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental sustainability principles, standards, and frameworks, and will be responsible for leading efforts to minimize our environmental footprint, promote social responsibility, and enhance our sustainability performance.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the hotel's values, goals, and industry best practices.
• Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and carbon emissions across all hotel operations.
• Lead initiatives to promote recycling, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing of materials and products.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain partners to integrate sustainability criteria into purchasing decisions and vendor selection processes.
• Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sustainability, and prepare regular reports to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct sustainability training and awareness programs for staff members to foster a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability activities, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate sustainability initiatives effectively.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
