Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Systems Developer to join our team at Publicis Sapient. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust backend systems utilizing modern technologies and best practices.

Your primary focus will be on implementing middleware solutions to facilitate seamless communication between frontend, backend, and other systems. You will also be responsible for architecting and maintaining scalable middleware infrastructure to support our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust backend systems using modern technologies and best practices
  • Implement middleware solutions to facilitate seamless communication between frontend, backend, and other systems
  • Architect and maintain scalable middleware infrastructure to support software applications
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate frontend components with backend systems via middleware
  • Develop and maintain APIs and microservices to enable data exchange and functionality across different layers of applications
  • Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of backend systems and middleware components
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability through continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven experience (at least 4-5 years) as a PHP developer, preferably on Pimcore platform
  • Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony (preferred)
  • Experience with MySQL databases and ORMs such as Eloquent
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an agile and fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Good knowledge of GIT
  • Familiarity and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker)
  • Basic knowledge of frontend technologies
  • Basic knowledge of deployment flow
  • Good knowledge of Pimcore
