Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer

Hitachi Zosen Inova AG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team in Zurich. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our energy transition and circular economy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Renewable Gas (RG) plants
  • Prepare technical specifications for components and systems, and evaluate bids from suppliers
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing of control systems
  • Support the tendering and commissioning team
  • Coach and train entry-level members and other automation engineers
  • Review technical specifications and RfQ documentation to ensure accuracy and conformance with codes and client specifications
  • Participate in project risk assessments, including HAZOP, SIL assessment, and Cyber Security Risk Assessment
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering of control systems, preferably in power plant applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation is mandatory
  • Good knowledge of various bus communication protocols, field instrumentation, and measuring principles
  • TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Engineer certificate is an advantage
  • ISA Cyber Security Engineer certificate is an advantage
  • Commissioning and operational experience is an advantage
  • Fluency in English, German, and other languages are an advantage
