Job Summary

Villanova University seeks a skilled Database Administrator to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle databases within the Ellucian Banner ERP system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Oracle databases to support the Ellucian Banner ERP system.
  • Perform routine database administration tasks, including backups, restores, patches, and security updates.
  • Monitor and maintain the day-to-day operations of the Banner ERP and related application performance and health.
  • Manage user access and permissions to ensure data security and integrity.
  • Provide technical support for Ellucian Banner applications and database-related issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in database administration and application infrastructure.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner products and Oracle databases.
  • Strong organizational and technical skills to diagnose problems in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Advanced professional expertise in Oracle Database Administration, Apache Tomcat, Banner Administration, and middleware integrations.
