Job Description

Role Overview

The AWP Construction Engineer will collaborate with the AWP Champion or AWP Group Leader to implement the Construction AWP Methodology and deliverables, and provide support to the Project and Site teams throughout all phases. This role is designed for international projects and will require the ability to spend extended periods abroad.

Main Responsibilities

  • Project AWP Plan Development
    • Participate in the definition of the Project AWP plan, working closely with the AWP Champion and implementing the plan as requested.
  • Path of Construction and Construction Schedule Development
    • Contribute to the development of the Path of Construction and Construction Schedule, ensuring the relevant Action list is up-to-date.
  • Project Documentation
    • Prepare project documentation related to AWP, gathering information from other technical disciplines for finalization with the AWP Champion/AWP Group Leader.
  • AWP Tools and Information Management
    • Set up tools for managing AWP within assigned projects and prepare information flow on EWP and PWP for site application.
  • AWP Implementation Monitoring
    • Assist the AWP Champion/AWP Group Leader in monitoring AWP implementation within the Project AWP Plan.
  • Advanced Work Packaging Practices
    • Support the AWP Champion and AWP Group Leader in Advanced Work Packaging practices and procedures for continuous methodology improvement.

Site Responsibilities

  • AWP Methodology Implementation
    • Participate in the implementation of AWP Methodology under the coordination of the AWP Champion, Site Manager, and Construction Manager.
  • Data Flow and Reporting
    • Ensure actual data flow (IWP produced by subcontractor) is reported to Project Control.
