Serco is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platform Architect to join our team. As a key member of our space services provider, you will play a critical role in supporting the innovation of our Earth Observation (EO) cloud platform.
Main Responsibilities- Design and implement the architecture of our EO cloud platform, ensuring seamless integration with our customers' and partners' systems.
- Select and configure cloud services and resources to meet the needs of our customers and partners.
- Implement security measures to protect our cloud infrastructure and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor the performance of our EO applications in the cloud and provide expert guidance to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions to our customers and partners, driving digital transformation and efficiency.
- 3-8 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud computing.
- 2-4 years of experience working on cloud projects, with a strong understanding of cloud micro-architecture platforms.
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or MS with 3 years of experience.
- Cloud architect certification is a plus.
- Experience in the space sector is appreciated, with knowledge of Earth Observation, Remote Sensing, and Navigation.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess technological and industry trends.
- Good knowledge of cloud micro-architecture platforms, including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with public hyperscalers is a plus.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, with knowledge of additional languages a plus.
