JOB PURPOSE

MSC Cruises seeks a skilled IT Project Portfolio Specialist to lead digital solutions implementation and manage IT portfolio effectively. This role ensures that IT systems enable digital solutions and facilitates informed decision-making.

As a key liaison between IT Portfolio Managers and Program counterparts, you will oversee the delivery of necessary components across various IT application, integration, and infrastructure levels. Your expertise will enhance the overall efficiency of IT project portfolio.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


• Facilitate strategic planning meetings to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and IT Project Portfolio enterprise domain priorities.


• Collect and challenge Program or Project Initiation Requests and Business Cases to enhance their quality and assign candidate investments to specific portfolios.


• Support the communication of strategy within the organization, ensuring clarity and understanding.


• Centralize resource demand and supply data, identifying gaps and over-allocations, and maintain a comprehensive Portfolio Repository for accurate data.


• Gather, manage, and analyze macro-level information pertaining to programs and projects, contributing to insightful portfolio analysis and management dashboards.


• Assist IT Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Steering Committee in portfolio management activities, providing necessary support and insights.


• Drive improvements in portfolio, program, and project management processes and artifacts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


• Ensure rigorous adherence to established methodologies and governance standards, upholding compliance and quality benchmarks.


• Issue governance directives to Program and Project Managers, collaborating closely to refine processes and propose enhancements to the portfolio framework.

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)


• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Professional certification in project, program or portfolio management or equivalent.


• Fluency in English, additional European language proficiency advantageous.


• 3+ years of experience in complex IT project and program management, preferably in a management consulting capacity.


• Proficiency in IT project portfolio management tools.


• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.


• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking, with a track record of delivering creative solutions to business challenges.


• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
