Role Overview: The IT Application Advisor plays a crucial role in designing and implementing high-quality IT solutions and applications. This position requires extensive knowledge of leading IT systems that support effective business process execution. The advisor will manage specific projects or assist the IT Application Manager in identifying and executing projects, leveraging their expertise in both IT tools and business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market benchmarking of IT solutions to enhance specific business functions and improve project delivery quality and speed.
  • Develop and maintain applications, tracking new release features.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements to define project scope and business cases.
  • Coordinate project management efforts with the IT Application Manager.
  • Contribute to project development in areas of deep expertise.
  • Serve as an internal reference and mentor on assigned topics.
  • Facilitate communication between business requirements and the development team.
  • Utilize workshops, surveys, and site visits to extract requirements and develop business processes.
  • Translate customer business needs into specific software requirements.
  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful IT solution implementation.
  • Provide support and training to key users on system functionalities.
  • Offer insights to the development team during the solution development phase.
  • Analyze and synthesize data from various sources to clarify user needs.
  • Deliver results through thorough research of functional needs and effective communication.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of operational systems to implement efficient changes.
  • Ensure adherence to recommended solutions.
  • Comprehend technical designs and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients regarding functional requirements.
  • Design and execute test scripts and scenarios.
  • Exhibit project management skills, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams.
  • Oversee and coordinate IT Application Specialists and Analysts.

Job Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Economics or Engineering.
  • Experience in project development.
  • Familiarity with key IT solutions relevant to the business sector.
  • Understanding of business processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Strong background in ERP business modules.
  • Experience with technical tools integrated into IT applications.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years in a similar role within a complex multinational setting.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proactive approach to tasks.
  • Capability to manage complexity and perform under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Planning and follow-up skills to ensure results.
  • Leadership qualities.
