Job Opportunity at the Human Technopole Foundation

The Human Technopole Foundation is seeking an exceptional scientist to lead a research group in functional genomics. As a key member of our interdisciplinary research team, you will be responsible for developing and supervising an independent scientific programme within our Centre for Functional Genomics.

About the Position

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented researcher with a strong track record in genomics and computational biology to establish an independent laboratory at the Human Technopole Foundation. The successful candidate will have an outstanding record in various areas of genomics, preferably with a strong background in computational methods and/or databases development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and supervise the establishment of a world-class research programme in functional genomics.
  2. Lead your own research group and foster a diverse and nurturing research environment.
  3. Build effective links and collaborations with other HT research investigators and develop and foster links between HT and other national and international research organizations.
  4. Contribute to the preparation of Centre reports and actively participate in initiatives that pursue improvement of all aspects of HT.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant scientific subject.
  • Proven record of excellent research output in the field of genomics/computational biology, bioinformatics, development of programs and bioinformatics tools, or related areas.
  • Scientific vision that includes the development of tools for solving outstanding biological problems.
  • Broad knowledge in functional genomics.
  • Fluency in English.
