We are seeking a highly skilled Product Developer Lg to join our team in Florence, Italy. As a key member of our Product Development function, you will be responsible for delivering the end-to-end product development process in your respective category.
Key Responsibilities:- Examine and interpret design inputs, implementing related requests and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create prototypes and samples.
- Develop a close relationship with the style office, becoming a point of reference for designers and ensuring that materials chosen are suitable for the type of product.
- Compile BOMs of prototypes and samples, prioritizing activities based on prebuy needs and ensuring all necessary information is updated in the BOM and communicated to wider teams.
- Collaborate with the Product Engineering team to ensure all trials and requests after the Pass-off meeting are actioned, leveraging their technical knowledge and negotiating any aesthetic changes to protect the design vision.
- Work closely with external suppliers and the internal atelier to ensure the creation of prototypes and samples in accordance with style requests, within the right timescales.
- Ability to work in partnership with Senior Designers, understanding and interpreting their creative aesthetic and design vision.
- Technical capability and product knowledge with ability to confidently influence the Design team and provide on-the-spot solutions in leather goods construction, leather/materials knowledge linked to shape and performance.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, delivering clear briefs and leveraging relationships to meet demands.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with credibility, share information effectively, and work confidently with cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of fashion and products in relevant category, knowledge of trends, the market, the luxury consumer, and peer awareness.
- PLM, Excel, InDesign.
- Italian & English advanced professional proficiency.
