About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rack Decommissioning Data Technician to join our team at Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. - D08. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient decommissioning of legacy hardware from our data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Maintain the highest safety standards and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Rack Decommission Operations: Decommission and process legacy hardware, including hard drive installation, removal, and destruction.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Networking Equipment: Remove and install basic networking equipment and clear configurations.
  • Vendor Management: Interact with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manual Handling: Perform manual handling and lifting of equipment, adhering to weight limits and regulations.
