Job Overview

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing operational support and service functions within the store environment. This role collaborates closely with the management team to execute store initiatives, manage operating costs, and enhance customer service while optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Directs store operations, which may encompass a wide range of support functions including customer service, front-end and back-end operations, administrative tasks, and specialized services. Manages the operational budget, including expenses, sales, and profitability. Evaluates financial reports and data to assess performance and identifies opportunities for operational improvements aimed at enhancing profitability. Coordinates staffing needs in line with organizational policies, develops work schedules, conducts interviews, and oversees payroll management. Oversees cash management processes, including sales audits and cashier operations. Ensures accurate collection and submission of accounting data and reports from operational areas, and coordinates annual inventory assessments. Acts as the liaison for IT equipment and service issues, collaborating with relevant support departments. Supervises team members, manages staffing needs, evaluates performance, and implements corrective actions as necessary. Addresses customer complaints effectively, identifying solutions to enhance customer satisfaction. Ensures efficient receiving and stock replenishment operations. May oversee the coordination of annual inventory counts. Responsible for facility upkeep, equipment maintenance, and improvement projects. Ensures adherence to safety, security, and fire prevention protocols across all facilities in partnership with the Asset Protection/Safety department. Functions as the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) for vendor contracts and concessions as needed. Manages store maintenance and cleanliness in accordance with established standards. Ensures compliance with all organizational policies and procedures. Reports directly to the General Manager or equivalent position. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Training Requirements:

Completion of Hazardous Material (HazMat) training within 90 days of employment as mandated by regulations.

The incumbent must submit a Financial Disclosure Report (OGE) Form 450 as required.

Candidates must be United States Citizens.

Experience Requirements:

A total of 5 years of experience, including:

General Experience: 3 years in administrative, professional, or supervisory roles that provided a foundational understanding of management practices and administrative processes.

OR

Substitution of Education for Experience: 1 year of college education beyond high school may substitute for 9 months of experience, with a maximum of a 4-year degree substituting for 3 years of general experience.

Specialized Experience: 2 years of progressively responsible experience in supervisory or managerial roles demonstrating knowledge of management principles and retail operations.
