Job Description


We are seeking a seasoned Air Freight Forwarder to join our Italian office in Trescore Balneario (Bergamo). The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in air freight transportation within the freight forwarding industry.



  • Responsibilities
  • Establish and develop air freight services for both import and export.
  • Process requests, organize, and control the entire process of air freight transportation.
  • Communicate with customers regarding the organization and management of international cargo transportation.
  • Communicate with transport suppliers to clarify transportation details.
  • Make quotes under all requests and order releases when ordered.
  • Create transport orders in internal company systems.
  • Participate in tender preparations if needed.
  • Identify new market opportunities and devise innovative approaches to increase airfreight volume and profitability.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying market needs.
  • Monitor market trends and analyze the competitive landscape.

Requirements


The successful candidate will have:



  • 5+ years of experience with air freight transportation within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Experience with the organization of door-to-door air freight transportation services.
  • Experience with direct communication with customers and transport suppliers.
  • High-level English language proficiency.
  • A broad-minded and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated success in business development.
