Mission Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Piping and Layout Engineer to join our Operation and Maintenance Department, which provides services to large-scale Oil & Gas Projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting plant design and layout, ensuring accessibility and maintainability requirements are properly addressed.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate with the project team to identify maintenance scenarios for each equipment/item subject to maintenance, selecting the most suitable handling procedure.
- Ensure expected maintenance tasks can be accomplished by identifying maintainable equipment and location, access area at ground and elevated level, required mobile and fixed equipment, staging and laydown area, and required special tools.
- Develop lifting and staging methods for complicated jobs involving heavy lifting.
- Gather required documentation from the project team and vendors.
- Attend plot plan design review workshops and follow up on related open tags.
- Participate in 3D model design review workshops and ensure timely closure of related open tags.
Education and Qualifications
- Hold a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with oil & gas plant-related design documentation and drawings, including 3D models, plot plans, P&IDs, PFDs, SLDs, F&G layouts, data sheets, vendor manuals, procedures, etc.
- Aptitude with 2D and 3D software (e.g., Autocad, Navisworks, SmartPlant, PDMS) and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of common upstream and downstream Oil and Gas processing systems and equipment maintenance requirements.
- Demonstrate exceptional technical quality of work delivery and project control.
- Ability to prepare and justify maintenance work scope(s) and communicate plans effectively.
- Comfortable communicating with senior management and technical specialists.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
