Key Responsibilities- Material Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient flow of materials and products.
- Commodity Management: Collaborate with management to support procurement, assist in commodity business plans, assess market trends, pricing, and product availability.
- Cost Management: Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities, such as materials, components, equipment, and services, according to assigned KPIs.
- Liaising with Customers and Suppliers: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and distributors to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Supplier Coordination: Conduct supplier meetings, follow up on actions, and prepare reports to monitor and upgrade supplier performance.
- Inventory Management: Track production volume, monitor customer demand patterns, and purchasing trends to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Procurement Support: Assist the procurement team in change management, part parameter updates, quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information.
- Supply Chain Management: Create and maintain bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems.
- Purchase Order Management: Ensure that Purchase Orders (POs) are created on time, while proactively identifying risks and providing mitigation plans.
- Data Integrity: Maintain the integrity of the procurement business system by ensuring accurate and up-to-date data input.
- Education: Associate degree or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of material requirements planning and inventory management principles, proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks and manage responsibilities simultaneously.
- Global Expertise: Requires domestic or global expertise of production or manufacturing environment.
- ERP System Experience: Familiarity with ERP systems and experience in improving processes is a plus.
