Job Summary

Supervises the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring all policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to. Directs subordinates to accomplish goals and objectives of the operation. Responsible for daily operational and administrative tasks as assigned by the Unit Manager.

This leadership position works with the management team and staff to instill and foster the values of Villanova University and Dining Services Mission Statement, focusing on our core values.

The ideal candidate will have proven food service experience in areas of responsibility and three years minimum food service supervisory experience. Written and oral communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently under general supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise in the food production area and ensure employees adhere to time guidelines for service.
  • Inventory and order food as needed by the establishment.
  • Supervise the receiving and storage of food and supplies.
  • Coordinates maintenance and custodial problems with the Unit Manager.
  • Assists the Unit Manager in the training of employees.

Requirements

  • Proven food service experience in areas of responsibility.
  • Three years minimum food service supervisory experience.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • General kitchen equipment knowledge.
