Job Title: Material Supply Management Director

Job Summary:

Maire Tecnimont is seeking a highly skilled Material Supply Management Director to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for critical supplies, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Critical Supplies: Identify critical supplies in accordance with applicable work instructions and ensure timely procurement and delivery.
  • Liaise with Project Team: Liaise with the project team to determine the proper moment for Material Supply Management activities to begin, given the status of the project.
  • Lead Technical and Commercial Meetings: Lead technical and commercial meetings with vendors relevant to critical supplies matters.
  • Assist with Non-Critical Supplies: Assist with technical and commercial meetings with vendors relevant to non-critical supplies matters, and/or MSM Engineers if required by MSM HoD.
  • Liaise with MSM Cost Engineer: Liaise with the MSM cost engineer in preparation of cost estimates when required.
  • Assist with MSM Activities Report: Assist the MSM cost engineer when required in preparation of MSM activities report.
  • Liaise with MSM Legal Manager: Liaise with the MSM Legal Manager and (if required) MSM HoD in determining contractual/legal strategy of back-charges preparation.
  • Ensure Correct Flow of Orders: Ensure the analysis of the project material requisition to identify the possible criticality from the early stage of the work and ensure the implementation of preventive actions to correctly manage all the criticality of the project.
  • Evaluate Order Status: Evaluate the status of the orders and ensure the correct flow to provide instruction to the procurement project teams about any applicable corrective and recovery action, proper administration of payments and bank guarantees.
  • Draft Notifications: Draft notifications having contractual relevance for critical material purchases.
  • Draft and Issue Documentation: Draft, verify, and issue the documentation issued for the application of the Major Disputes to vendors, ensuring the related management in line and in accordance with relevant contractual provisions, in order to better protect the Company's interests.
  • Negotiate Major Disputes: Negotiate the Major Disputes; draft and finalize the relevant Memorandum of Understanding and agreements with the support of MSM Legal Manager.

Requirements:

  • Strong Procurement and Supply Chain Management Skills: Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex procurement issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of Contract Law: Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
