We are seeking a highly skilled Forest Robotics Engineer to join our team at Karlstad University.

Job Description

The Free University of Bozen/Bolzano was founded as a multilingual, internationally oriented institution. The successful candidate will be working in a collaborative environment with experts from various fields to develop innovative solutions for automated monitoring in forest and alpine environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement robotic legged platforms for digitalization tasks in forest and alpine environments.
  • Combine aerial drones and robotic legged platforms for efficient and widespread monitoring.

This role requires expertise in robotics, automation, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with aerial drones and robotic systems, as well as strong programming skills in languages such as Python or C++.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a strong background in robotics, automation, and computer science. A master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field is required.
