Job Title: Corporate Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to join our Western Europe Commercial Legal Team in Milan, Italy. As a key member of our team, you will provide broad legal support for Microsoft's commercial activities in Italy, including providing legal advice on data protection, regulatory matters, and contract law to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary legal contact for assigned clients and execute on both routine and high-impact legal matters.
  • Identify and anticipate legal risks in the Microsoft business, technology, and public policy, then develop creative solutions to mitigate future risk.
  • Manage and develop partnerships with outside counsel, draft novel policies and agreements, and negotiate transactional documents.
  • Advocate for Microsoft's interests by developing relationships with legal professionals, government officials, customers, and partners.
  • Evaluate processes for improvement, develop policies and best practices, and provide continuous feedback to make the delivery of legal services within your work group significantly more efficient.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor or equivalent degree.
  • Active license to practice law in Italy or capable of meeting admission requirements in Italy.
  • Extensive years of experience as a practicing attorney or equivalent practice of law.
  • Fluency in Italian and English in speech and writing.
